Renewable Energy Powered Seawater Reverse Osmosis (RE-SWRO)

Seawater reverse osmosis systems powered by wind and solar energy, providing drinking and agricultural water with a lower carbon footprint.

Epsilon Innovation Group designed a renewable energy (wind and solar) powered seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) system, funded by the World Bank and implemented by the Belize-based Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC).

Our work covered the complete SWRO system design, solar and wind power potential assessment, and the renewable energy powered system design. Based on this design, the World Bank and the CCCCC implemented a grid-connected, PV powered SWRO system that now supplies potable water to the small fishing and whaling community of Paget Farm in Bequia.

Other renewable energy powered system designs

  • Renewable energy powered aquaculture
  • Renewable energy powered ice-making plants
  • Off-grid hybrid renewable energy power systems
